Steve's Memory Will Live With Us Forever

I know it is very clear to me and the community given Steve's passing, that he touched far more people and influenced so many more lives than I ever imagined. During his funeral, I wept at the prospect of such a beautiful human being's life cut dramatically and unfairly short. Even today, several weeks later, it is hard to believe that Steve has departed this Earth. I am so proud of what Steve did while he was with us. He touched us deeply and often with his smile, his humor, his emotion and his compassion. He truly cared about his family, his friends and his community. He really is Mr. Orange.

Steve would be so grateful for what everyone has done for Bridget and Kaitlyn. I know that he is relieved by the outpouring of sentiment and assistance for Kaitlyn's education fund. Steve had his own family and he built an extended family that is now ensuring their security.

God bless Steve; bless his soul. He now lives in eternal life and light. He will missed. His memory will live with us forever.

Love,

Todd Spitzer on behalf of himself, Jamie, Justin and Lauren Spitzer

Ode to Steve

I have known Steve since 7th grade at Portola Jr. High. We became friends then and kept in touch over the years. We then worked at Islands together. Although I didn't talk to Steve all the time, each time we'd see him at the street fair or anywhere around town, he acted like we were the most important people on earth. Steve had the gift of gab as well as that precious gift of making anyone who knew him feel like they were his best friend.

He was so proud of Kaitlyn and such a happy family man. I was happy to see him settle into a life that was so important to him (being a husband and father....oh and in the role of Councilman). Anyone who knew him knew he was Mr. Orange.

Bridget, I have only met you once (Steve gave us some seats right behind you and Kaitlyn at the Christmas concert at the plaza over the holidays) but I want you to know that you are both in my prayers.
Steve was a great guy, a wonderful human being and will be missed.
