"I know that in my young life, I have made an
impact in the lives of others. I know that in the
big picture, I have made a difference in the
community. And in the end, I will be well rewarded
for my dedication and commitment to
my community. Most importantly, I know that I
would not be where I am today if not for the
community that I love."
- Steven Frank Ambriz
On the anniversary of Steve’s tragic death, it seems fitting to note the many honors he has received from the community that he loved and the anti-drunk driving bills that were introduced in his name.
On May 25, 2006, Steven F. Ambriz, Councilman for the City of Orange, was the victim of a fatal traffic collision on Santiago Canyon Road. This memorial site has been created in recognition of his many achievements, and to honor his memory.
Services for Steve Ambriz were held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Holy Family Cathederal and were followed with a Celebration of Life at Plaza Park, Old Towne Orange. More than 1200 people gathered in his honor. He is survived by his wife Bridget and daughter Kaitlyn.
We invite those who knew Steve, and who admired or were influenced by his work, to share your memories in the Your Memories section. There, you can share your memories about Steve, his career, professional achievements, and his life in general.
